What does she need?

As DD's first birthday (and christmas) is approaching, relatives are asking what DD needs. I'm trying to think of things she would need in the near future and I am out of ideas. What are you telling people that your LO one needs? So far I have shoes, maybe a table and chairs...

I am all about the practical stuff, so I'm telling people:

clothes and PJs (in the next size up from what she's wearing now since she's pretty close to growing out of them), diapers/wipes/genie refills, books, bath toys

I almost wanted to say formula but thankfully we'll be off of that soon!

I told inlaws to get him a wagon.   I really didnt have any other ideas.   I feel like we provide him with whatever he needs when he needs it so we'll see what he gets for his bday and go from there.

We provide her with what she needs, and know that people usually want to buy the fun stuff, so I've just told them age appropriate or slightly older toys (so she can "grow into" them), books, or puzzles.  I am hesitant to say clothing because she grows at such a slow then fast, then slow rate

I have told them we would love to have pajamas in the next size up!  Also DD has very few bath toys, so I asked for some fun learning bath toys! I found this particular one at TRU that had some good reviews!

18 month clothes and pajamas.  We only have a few things in the next size so, any seasonal clothing will be greatly appreciated.

Books and plastic animals. When we go to swimming lessons there is a large bin of plastic squeeze toys (that squirt). Madeline goes NUTS and knows exactly what is in the bin. She watches it and knows where it is at all times. Any time we swim close to it on the side she wants to visit the animals and trade hers for another. I figure the same toys will be good for playing lots of games now as well as in the future. (Longevity is a good thing.)
