Congratulations, you made a great decision. I quit my job a few weeks before Stella was born and I'm really enjoying being a SAHM, I wish I would have done it sooner.
I'm switching from working FT in the office to PT from home in the evenings here in a few weeks and I am nervous as hell too!!! I am not good at change and especially taking "leaps of faith." I know we will financially be ok (in fact better w/out daycare expenses) but I am still nervous about $ for some reason. I just wonder what the adjustment will be like to essentially be a SAHM, I hope I can be good at it! Good luck to us!!!

I am sooooooo happy for you!!! The 2 years that I got to stay home with my kids were 2 of the best years of my life. You'll be fantastic!

Congrats! And it will work out. The first few months may drive you literally crazy (it did for me), but you'll hit your rhythm and everything will be better. Just be sure to give it time. I almost gave up about 4 months in (really missed having an "identity") and I'm so glad I didn't, as our lives are pretty good and we now have so many opportunities to do more with them. Money is nada; time is by far a more precious commodity!
I was just about ready to go back this past month....and I'm sooo glad I didn't. My babies are really starting to get FUN (the little ones) and we've had such a great month. So, it really took me a year to get in my groove and like staying home - and now, the last couple weeks, I've loved it!

Holy crap. That's some major news.
Good luck - May the force be with you.
ETA: does this mean that you will not be here during the day anymore? We can't take any more hits to this board.
You'll do great!
yep! good luck!!
You have such faith in me. ?Wish I did. ?LOL
I know I'll be ok, deep down I know this. ?I'm a nervous weenie on all other levels though. ?I just have to suck it up & do it, and it'll work.
DD is excited, DH gave me a big hug, and my stomach is finally settling down. ?The kids need this. ?As does our poor house. ??
give yourself a few months to adjust...but then you will be SOOOOO happy!
I'm super excited for you!! SUPER!!
SoOOOOO worth it, trust me!
