They can feel like a slight tightening of your abdomen and not necessarily painful but can be. Mine lately have been getting painful as I am obviously almost due. Mine also sometimes cause the tightening, shortness of breath and racing heart.

Would they be a constant tightness? Or would that be something else? Oh wise doctor? lol
Hmm.. I am always worried about something. Wether I need to be or not. I have had this constant tightness for a couple days. I mean not all day, but for maybe an hr or so at a time.
eta: I never had something like this or BH last time, if that wasn't obvious ;o)

If it was tightening or hard for more than a few minutes maybe it's baby's position? BH come and go. Can be frequent. But you''re typically not tight for more than a min or so at a time.

Probably. Because this baby hates me. I just googled some. (Something I didn't want to do for sooooo many reasons lol) But it may be round ligament pain which seems pretty harmless.
My ute can feel constantly tight sometimes... but I think it is more baby position and pushing on things from the inside than BH... or just general stretching?
Ditto pp on what my BH feel like - I get a little fluttery in my chest and very distinct tightness in the belly - all around hard, not just in one area.... sometimes I feel it start from the bottom up or from the sides in... definitely can be uncomfortable but not painful and definitely can make things sore.
Ditto pps on the tightness being baby positioning. I found that certain yoga positions encouraged the little monkey in utero to unknot, which ultimately alleviated the constant tightness feeling pretty quickly.
When I got BH I would feel like my body was tired - as if I had flexed for too long but it wasn't isolated to my abdomen. I would sometimes feel dizzy and they would occasionally hurt. If I had constant hardness it was either because DS was pushing his back up against the exterior of my abdomen or I was having near constant contractions. 90% of the time it was just DS position.
