I really liked a book called "don't cut me again" or "please don't cut me again" or something like that. It is a little pink book with VBAC stories. Some end in VBAC, some in CBAC, but I really enjoyed reading those stories.
Ina May Gaskin's Guide to Childbirth also has some good info and she has a whole section on VBAC stories as well.
As far as normal labor, Henci Goer's Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth was awesome! I haven't read it yet, but I have also heard good things about Your Best Birth.
I'm currently reading Natural Childbirth after Cesarean, and I'm really enjoying it. I haven't gotten to the real hardcore labor stuff yet, so I can't say how that will be, but so far it's kind of discussed a lot of the things that I've been concerned about emotional/progression fears in addition to methods of relaxation, etc. I'm blatantly ignoring the 'eat meticulously healthy - no caffeine, etc" but otherwise I'm enjoying it.

I was going to recommend these two as well, they are excellent.
I'm reading Birthing From Within right now.
