Orange Juice left out?

My hubby bought me some OJ while I was in the hospital 2 nights ago and I forgot that it was in my purse.  It is a bottle that he got at a gas station and it was sealed and unopened.  It is Tropicana No Pulp.  Would it be safe to put back in the fridge and drink when it gets cold again?  As I said, it is bottled, not in a carton and has not been opened.

  • Since it hasn't been opened, you're safe to refrigerate and drink it.  I would.  it's been pasteurized.

  • Read the label. It will tell you if it needs to be refrigerated even if not opened. Some of their juices are fine while others are not but the bottle will tell you.

  • The bottle just says "Keep Refridgerated".  It doesn't say if this is before or after being opened.

I would assume they intended for you to keep in refrigerated- at all times.  I would not drink it, but I have no rational other than following package directions.

  • I would think it should still be ok.  I read this and had to pause between responding, I suddenly had a need for a glass of orange juice. hehe!!

Haha, yes I know what you mean...OJ has been one of my most intense cravings since I became pregnant!

  • I go by labels and how it's stored at the grocery store.  Cranberry juice, for example, is room temp on a shelf, but has to be refridgerated after opening.

OJ is always in the refridgerated section... I wouldn't drink it.
