MN themed shower favors

Hey ladies,

I'm fairly new to the Twin Cities and will be traveling back home for a baby shower in January. I'd like to give my shower guests a little MN themed thank you/favor for coming to my shower since I haven't seen many of the extended family members in quite a while.

Any thoughts on a small fun/local gift to bring back?

Does your shower have a theme? It would be great if you were from somewhere like southern Florida where it doesn't snow and you bring back snowflake shaped cookies or something... we're kinda known for snow! ;-)

Theres lots of stuff in all kinds of places for MN stuff... you could get a BIG bag of wild rice grown here in MN, then divide it up into cute lil containers, or something (I know my mom LOVES the wild rice I get her) Or you could just about do anything. Go to the Minnesota specialty stores there are several at MOA. You can get lots of idea there....

I know RIGHT???? But in my defense, I am a Sconnie and have only been here 8 years. And I've only known that nut rolls were a MN thing for the last couple. So uh..... so there!

I'd definitely go pearson salted nut rolls! Hmm...I haven't had one in ages, I think Pearson also makes the nut goodie bars?? Small bags of old dutch potato chips? I also like the wild rice idea...that's a great one!

When I read your post I immediately thought of wild rice. I'm from Northern Minnesota though and we have a lot of wild rice for sale up there.
