I didn't have a c-section but at one point mine smelled distinctly like a dead fish. It was about 2 wks pp and was the last of my discharge (i.e. yellow, slimy and gross).
However, I did call my m/w just to be sure.

I worked in a womans clinic that performed abortions including late term, so (tmi) I have smelled a lot of lochia. I always thought it smelled like heat. I smell it when I walk by air vents in the winter, I smell it when I turn the heat on in the car. It shouldn't smell bad. Have you taken a bath? I'm not asking that saying you are dirty and thats why it smells, haha, I'm wondering if you may have a water contamination?
I would call your Dr. I had an vaginal infection after my c-section. I was put on antibiotics and it cleared up quickly. My Dr. said it wasn't serious but if I had let it go a couple weeks it could have been.

Yes, yellow discharge, and kind of like a dead fish..Its really gross..But Im thinking its discharge that's been in there for the last 9 months, and probably normal.

Yup, sounds just like what happened to me. If you want to be safe though call your OB.

Call your ob/gyn. Might as well, right?
