i can't sleep...(BR, and a bit TMI)

contraction woke me up at 2:40am.  all very textbook - bloody show, diarrhea (twice ), painful, regular contractions in lower abs that radiate around to the back. can still walk/talk through them though, so i'm not really timing them - but they were around 6 min apart.

so i decide to finish up some work - the last bit i need to do before I can actually enjoy my maternity leave*!  that helped take my mind off things, and i actually thought the contractions slowed down and/or were getting less painful.  but it turns out they're not.  so i finished working, but i still can't sleep.  if this is really the beginning of early labor, it's going to be a loooong day...!

* assuming this baby stays put and lets me actually enjoy it - it just started yesterday!  i want him to stay in for another week, I was looking forward to resting and not doing much for at least a week!!

Omg, you're so close!!!!!!! I can't believe it. This is exciting! But at the same time, I hope he stays put for a little while so you can actually relax and enjoy your leave!!
