We just started since we know we are going to need more space. I am breaking down and selling my guitar that I never learned how to play and hopefully I can get rid of some other stuff too while I am at it!
I haven't had the energy to start that process yet... but we fully plan on it. (Side note: DH and I bought the house that I grew up in... so there is a ton of crap that either a) my mom didn't move out or b) is mine from childhood that I never went through or c) is my teaching stuff.)
I can't even get around to washing the bath towels yet, too tired.
Talk to me in a few months, though...with DD at around 6 or 7 months I lost my mind and sold/threw out/gave away a good 1/2 of our stuff. Seriously. Any clothes that I didn't like anymore (mine and my husband's) down to tupperware, movies, furniture, and the contents of the pantry.
tonight I went thru all the coupons that I have been sent for babies (diapers/wipes/formula checks) I posted them on another board I belong to so that someone that could use them now (before they expire) could... some are like &10.00 to $15.00 checks.. I know someone could use them...
I've donated a bunch of books that I have read and have no intention of re-reading or saving for children, thrown out some college/work stuff and reorganized our office. Now we need to move the spare bed into the office and purge the room that will be for the baby. I am aiming for that project to begin in December.
Not yet but I can't wait! The room that will be the nursery is currently filled with the ugly furniture DH brought into our marriage. He thinks its "really nice stuff" but its 1970s fab oversized junk he inherited from his parents. I have been dying for an excuse to get rid of it for years!
We have started getting rid of stuff. Our spare room that will become the nursery is the "crap" room. I have started going through that room deciding what to save and storing stuff in the attic and made a pile of stuff to donate to goodwill.

lol! I've been purging DH's crappy bachelor stuff slowly over the years!
I really need to go through the giant walk-in closet in the "library/guest room" but it just breaks my soul when I look at the amount of stuff in there! It's the catch-all of the house junk!
I have been thinking about how I need to do this. I did go through our storage unit (part of our garage) and organized everything down there and made sure it was clearly labeled. Next I need to tackle the guest room, which will become the nursery. I want to get rid of a desk and two bookshelves, so I need to figure out which books to box up to keep, and which ones to sell/donate/whatever....
BFP #1 9/2010 (lost our baby at 21 weeks)
BFP #2 8/2011 (ectopic pregnancy)
BFP #3 10/2011 (chemical pregnancy)
BFP #4 12/2011 (Abigail born 8/15/12)
BFP #5 5/2013 (Griffin born 1/23/14 with heart defects, now repaired!)
I know the feeling and have been wanting to soo badly but since iv basically put myself on bedrest because any time i do anything i end up in pain its made things difficult... I plan to purge most everything if seems like take a lot of stuff in to consign we could use the cash since i lost my job being so sick. We have also been looking at moving apartments and that will change a lot because right now we have a large basement which is a collect all as well as our guest room is the "crap" room..
I have gotten rid of some stuff. We are going to start massively purging as soon as hunting is over for dh. We have to get rid of the twin bed and huge dresser in our guest room. Move everything from the office to the guest room and then start on the nursery. Plus we have to pull out two rooms worth of filthy carpet that we haven't gotten around to doing since we bought the house.
I have to get better organized before this baby comes. You can't even walk in our office and there is no telling what dangerous things are laying around. I don't want to constantly have to worry about the baby getting into stuff. Plus we need room for all the baby gear.
Fortunately, we moved in April and tossed all kinds of stuff then. That's when we were integrating our respective apartments. Any duplicates went to Goodwill, etc.
We do need to finish unpacking and organizing though. That's been on hold for a bit, for no good reason.
I was able to do a lot of this when we moved in August. If we never used it in our old place, its didn't get moved to the new one. The only stuff that didn't really get cleaned out is the military things DH has accumulated. I swear the stuff is spawning new things and growing on its own. I've told him a hundred times he needs to go through and clean out and organize it, but he won't. Now he's just going to move it to the basement to make room for baby.

I totally plan on doing so again.

All I have to do is watch an episode of "hoarders" and it puts me in the mood.
Seriously, I need to get rid of half of everyone's clothing.
