So you are supposed to introduce new foods, one at a time over 3-5 days, right? That is what we have been doing, but it kinda seems like you could go on forever before you cover all the foods for 3-5 days each. At some point did you change the way you introduced foods? She has had apples, pears, mangoes, plums, prunes, yams, carrots, peas, and squash.
Also, I know that bananas, rice, and apples are constipating, and prunes have the opposite effect. Anybody know any other foods that fit either of those categories?
Re: Solids question
I always thought the point of the BRAT diet was that it's bland.

I think it's both bland and supposed to help with diarrhea. When Brett was sick, he was put on the BRAT diet as well.

I have always been a "rule-follower" when it comes to all the baby stuff, but recently I gave up the 4-day wait rule for introducing new foods, for that very reason that you cited. I felt like she was hardly able to eat anything- and I want to give her the vitamins from a varied diet. Now I introduce about every 2 days...still only early in the day so if there is a reaction I can see it before bedtime, and I don't give her a lot of the food the first time, either.
When it comes to constipation, I found that as soon as I backed off rice cereal & introduced YOGURT she was good! I just give her the "Yo-Baby" by Stoneyfield & it has been heaven-sent! I swear it keeps her regular!
