Just when I was excited to post last week that I saw the heartbeat on a 6 week sonogram... that night I went to the emergency room and was admitted into the hospital for a blood clot in my lung. The pain is unbelievable and I've developed migrain-like headaches on top of it. They started me on lovenox 2x/day.
I had to get a CT scan while I was in the ER... and while everyone tried calming me down, I'm still upset I had to do it. Even though I understand it was a necessary precaution that saved my life.
I have migraines now... any suggestions to get rid of them would be great. And this afternoon my whole body just started getting itchy as soon as we got home.
I see the high risk dr tomorrow and ask all the questions but I was just excited to check in again here and see if anyone had feedback on the itching and migrains.
Good to be back ![]()
Re: Finally out of the hopsital...
I'm sorry you had to go through all that! I suffer from migraines with visual hallucinations (i.e. spots, prism lights, tunnel vision). At this point the only thing that really helps is sleep in a dark room with a cold compress. You can try aromatherapy candles (specifically Lavendar and Peppermint smells) then can help sometimes. Also, migraines normally have some sort of trigger whether it be food, physical activity, or stress. If you can figure out your trigger I would just avoid it.
I'm dealing with the itching problem too! Aveeno has some GREAT products that really help. They have an oatmeal bath product that works wonders and their lotions are great too.
I hope this information helps and all is well!
