No more cheese

This could be even worse than all of the meds and needles.  I started seeing a new acupuncturist today and she said no dairy.  Yikes.  She seems pretty good though.  She did a much more thorough exam than my old one ever did and she put needles all over - ears, arms, legs, back, chest.  The other one only did my abdomen or my back depending on cycle day.

When I told her I needed to get rid of my cysts before I could do IVF, she said "no problem".  I will give up all of the cheese in the world if those cysts could be gone in about 2 weeks or so!

    Oh that's a hard one. I gave up gluten to see if it will help me get KU'd but I'm actually not sure I could do dairy. However, at this point I'd do just about anything so maybe... Good luck! I hope it works!!!

    I'm not big into cheese or any dairy, so that wouldn't be a big deal to me, but I know it would be huge to some, DH included.  Did she say why?

    no more cheese is a tough one but if she will get rid of the cysts I would give up cheese too!

    I will do practically anything to get rid of these cysts...although I'm very thankful that so far she hasn't said anything about alcohol or caffeine. 

    Kristy - she said something about how dairy clogs up the system and settles in the pelvic region.  I'm sure I'm a little off on that, but it was something like that.

    Good luck! That would be a tought one for me to give up, but if it gets rid of the cysts it's worth it.

    yikes. no cheese? I applaud your strength, and will eat double the cheese for you. That said, I am hopeful this acu is right on and helpful and you find it relaxing! I haven't been in 2 weeks and am missing it!

    Ugh, mine said no dairy, gluten, alcohol and caffeine. I have Celiac so I already don't eat gluten, so that one wasn't a problem. I've been really bad about the dairy though - I should kick my own ass.

    Huh, no dairy.  I have heard that it can cause inflamation, but I don't know much beyond that.  Good luck with the new acupuncturist!!

    Oh no.  I couldn't give up dairy.  I have to eat Pepper Jack cheese every day or I have a full on melt-down.  I love my cheese.

    For telling you that you have to sacrifice something as amazingly wonderful as cheese, that acupuncturist better be prepared to GIVE you a baby if it doesn't work!  ;)
     
    Hope that the acupuncture is helping, & GL with the Great Cheese Sacrifice!!!  Cysts be gone!!!!

    Wow that sounds tough!  I think I eat dairy at every single meal!  I wonder why there is so much conflicting info out there about dairy and fertilty.  Some say to avoid dairy totally and some say full fat dairy will help get you KU!  WTF?

    You can do it!  My diet was pretty awful too.  Once you get going it isn't so bad.

    I hope it works. The one I saw did the all over needles too, I felt and looked like a pin cushion, but hey, totally worth every single needle and more.
