I called the pedi to talk to the nurse.  She said flagyl is rated a class 2, which is the same as B.  It does pass into breastmilk, but the side affects are diarrhea. 

Cipro is a class 3/C and also passed into breastmilk, but there are little side affects.  That it may cause her to have diarrhea.  

Since I am so sick, the doctor and nurse both said I should take the meds and expect her to have some runny poops and gas.  But it is better than me getting sicker...

glad you got that cleared up. You have too much going on and must be miserable. I'm glad that you got the Ok to take your meds and BF.
