How to clean Lamaze toys?

Lo loves her Mortimer the Moose. She takes it with her every where, including the pedi's office and daycare. I know the tag says to surface clean only, but that thing is getting disgusting. Does anyone throw them in the wash/dryer?

    DS loves his moose too!! I send it through the washer and dryer at least once a week!! No problems so far!

    DD loves her Eddie (we call her Ellie) the Elephant.  We also have a turtle guy too.  They've been through the wash many times, since we received them used!  :)

    I washed Mr. Moose, and hung him up to dry. He's much cleaner and even a little fluffier!!

    I had no idea he had a real name!! DS loves his so much that we dressed him up as his moose for Halloween!
