Baby Names

Twin girls

Hello ladies, I am expecting twin girls at the end of January. I am having trouble choosing a second baby name. One of the babies names will be Aubrey Josephine and I am looking for suggestions on the other babies name. Here are a few first names I like let me know what you think...

Hadley

Delaney

Kyla

Ava

Brinley

Re: Twin girls

  • Ava is the only one I like there. Aubrey Josephine is classic and gorgeous. Hadley, Delaney, Kyla and Brinley are yickkkkkkkkkkk!

    How about...

  • Hadley - sounds like 'I had Lee' and is a surname that makes me think of boys. Really, I can't stand this name.

Delaney - probably my favorite option - feminine, but not overly feminine sounding. True, that would mean your girls would both end in Y, but the beginnings and syllable count are so different that I think it's a good match.

Kyla - ugh, trendy letter K rears its head. It's a legit name I know, but I can't stand it, and it doesn't look nearly as lovely as Aubrey.

Ava - excellent name, but also begins with the letter, A. Depends on how much that bugs you. My second choice.

Brinley - I just don't undestand why this name is trendy - Brinley sounds like a food cleaner or something. Regardless, it's a made up name. Bottom of the pile with Hadley.

Despite Aubrey being a boys name, I don't know that it will ever be a boys name in the States because it's too similar to Audrey. I do prefer Audrey though and think Audrey and Delaney would be an excellent sibset. That said, Aubrey adn Delaney are also lovely and my favorite on your list.

  • I think Ava sounds great...could go w/ Eva if you don't want them to start w/ same letter
  • Delaney is my fav.

  • We really don't have the same taste at all, so I don't know if this will be helpful to you, but I only like Ava.  I hate hate HATE Brinley - it makes me think of a dog and then also Wilford Brimley:

  • Ava and Delaney are the only names I like. Not a fan of Hadley or Brinley (they sound made up) and Kyla doesn't grow well, IMO.

  • Hadley = I like Hadley, surprisingly. This is definitely my fave on your list.

Delaney = totally NMS. I have a cousin with this name and she's the most obese ten-year-old I've ever met. Ew.

    Kyla = ghetto ghetto ghetto.

Ava = over-used to the point of annoyance.

Brinley = makes me think of that word for whale teeth.

  • I do not like Hadley, Delaney, or Brinley at all. Ew.

Ava is cute but too matchy to Audrey.

    Kyla is ok.

I would keep looking. Aubrey Josephine is classic and nice, though!
