Obsessed with the underwear, but not much going in the potty; WWYD?

So DD peed in the potty this weekend (woot!) for maybe the 3rd time ever. We celebrated, called the grandparents, gave praise and treats, and let her have her big girl underwear.  Since Saturday night, she's been OBSESSED with putting on and taking off the underwear, so we've let her wear it at home with diapers on for outings/school.  However, it seems like all she wants to do is put it on, take it off, have the occasional accident in it, but not actually sit on the potty for longer than 0.235 seconds to put pee in the dang thing!

Any recs on how we can talk her into sitting on it A) for longer than that so she'll have more chances of success, and/or actually running to the potty when she feels like she has to go?  Total novices here; any advice is welcomed!  TIA

We actually had a similar situation where DS was just so psyched to wear underwear but every single time he would just pee in the underwear.  This happened for several days.  He decided he wanted to wear the underwear to daycare and I think seeing the other kids peeing in the potty really helped.  If your DD doesn't go to daycare that would obviously not work but while he was at home we kept reiterating that he didn't want to get spiderman, iron man (any character on the underwear) wet and that he should tell us when he felt his pee pee coming.  Unfortunately for us it was a lot of accidents and time but he's finally getting it.
