    No, but I don't know if there is anything you could coat it with to make it water resistant (I doubt it can be waterproof).

    You're right, you cannot make a fabric waterproof unless it was made that way to begin with. You could use a Nikwax product to make it water repellent but I wouldn't bother.  If you let us know what you're thinking of doing some of the great minds here might have ideas?
