She's home!!
It has been one crazy weekend starting Thursday evening. We got a call that birthmother was dilated but probably wouldn't have the baby until at least monday. Friday morning we got a call at 7:10 that she was at the hospital in labor, my husband came home from work and we went straight to the hospital. Got there at 8:00 and she had her at 8:20. Just made it!
It was amazing! I was there for the delivery and I can not even express in words how emotional that was, absolutely amazing. My husband, birthmom and her mother and I all stayed in the same room our whole stay. We all became very close, we talked, cried, told stories and just became such great friends. We have a semi-open agreement, she wants us to attend some of her brothers high school basketball games with her and her mom even. We met most of her family whom were all amazing and so supportive. We could not have asked for a better situation.
So, about the baby. She is amazingly beautiful! She was 6 lbs, 11 oz. Born with a full head of dark brown hair, full lips and perfect olive skin. I love this is girl more than life.
I never thought it would happen. The journey and rollercoasters are so worth it! Ladies, hang in there!!
