CP about progesteron. WWYD.

So today I went for my CD 17 u/s to check how many and how big follies are and my lining. They only wanted me to come in on cd 17 because last cycle I went in at cd 13 and was no where close to O and when I came back on cd 17 I was a day or two out. Well I got + opks Friday, Saturday, and today. I was a little worried that I would O before my appointment. And I had the strongest O signs I have ever had yesterday.

When they did the u/s this morning they said my lining was 8.5 and I had no follies, but my ovaries were swollen. RE said there was no way to be 100% sure that I had actually already Oed and that is why there were no follies, but that because my ovaries were swollen that she is 99.9% sure I did ovulate already.

Well if I have already Oed then why not go ahead and start the progesterone? But I have an irrational fear that I may not have Oed yet and that if I start taking it that I will not. So what would you do??

Oh, that is SUCH a tough decision!!!  I don't know what I'd do.

I dont know if this helps at all but my mom says they tell their patients to start it on 4dpo

Yeah my RE told me to start it 2 days after my first positive OPK. I'm worried that it screwed me up last month. But then I think I had no follies today and they were all pretty sure that I Oed already, but still with out being 100% sure I'm just worried.

I'd wait a couple of days and see what your chart does. If your temps also prove that you have O'd i'd start it then.

You RE thinks you O'd.  I would go ahead and start tit.

Can you ask to have b/w done to confirm you o'ed based on your opk's?  I go tomorrow 5dpiui to get my progesterone checked and at that point I start prometrium if it's low.  I believe mine will also measure something else that confirms ovulation according to my friend who did 7 iui's.  I think if you are seeing an RE there should be less guess work on your part.
