weights gain questions

alrighty ladies- you can see my girls birth weights in siggy.

ava- the 3 -10 oz baby came home 2 weeks after birth and weighed 4-6 when she came home. now almost 6 weeks from her birth she is 5-7 today.

olivia- the 2-12 oz baby came home a week and a half ago at 4-7 and today is 5-4.

i just starting thinking that i am so thrilled olivia is catching up with ava, but is ava growing really slow adn she shouldn't have put more on in 4 weeks home..

probably just overanalyzing everything and thinking too much about weights, just want to hear ya'lls opinion.

Congrats on your baby girls being home! Luke was 3 pounds 9 oz at birth and now at 8 weeks hes 8 pounds. But he went up to 5 pounds really fast then slowly made it to six. It seemed like we were stuck there for a while. Then all the sudden went from 6 to 8 pounds! Babys go through growth spirts. It might just be Ava is on a slow week for growth but Olivia is really having a busy week! They may be opposite each other and thats why your really noticing! You may be overanalyzing but if you too concerned just call the pedi! I think they sound like they are doing wonderful!

We were told in the nicu and at home that they liked to see 1oz/day.  It looks like Ava is doing half that.  DD was on bm with formula to boost it to 24 cal/oz.  She is still growing so I wouldn't panic but let the doctor know about it.  Was she always a slow grower?  It just might be the way she is.  DD was super slow in weight gain in the nicu and averaged about .5oz/day even on 28 cal bm+fortifier.  Soem kids just seem to grow slowly.
