hey, i guess i didn't realize that you were at Stanford. When i went into PTL and they were trying to stop it, they wanted to transfer me to Stanford at first but luckily found a hospital with a level 3 NICU closer to home.

Re: tisroc

  • I went to our local hospital for my PTL.  They have a lvl 3 NICU but sent me to stanford so i could have access to all the sub-specialists not just the neonatologist.  There was worry of genetic problems as well as heart problems.   But i think we're going to go back to Dominican in the next couple of days.  I'm so nervous.

I'm glad you guys were able stay closer to home.  Driving long distances just makes things that much harder.

  • i started out at my local hospital (that i was supposed to deliver at) but they don't have a NICU at all. When they put me on the mag sulfate they had to transfer me to a different hospital that had a a level 3.

I don't drive so it would be even harder if we had been transferred to Stanford or further than that.

  • Mag is awful.  I'm glad there was a lvl 3 closer than stanford for you.  I had wanted to deliver at the maternity center close by where DS1 was born but that clearly was shot out the window.  i'm sorry your local hospital didn't work out.

    As far as driving....  Embarrassed

i wasn't suppose to drive for 4 weeks after my c-section (it was especially brutal) but i couldn't stand my grandmother living with me so i sent her home and started driving myself over the hill 6 days post-op.  i've never been good at following doctors orders in regards to my own health.
