A very important question :)

So I took an HPT this afternoon (we bought it this morning and I didn't want to wait until tomorrow am).  AF is two days late.  It appears to be a faint positive, but I'm not sure if it's my eyes.  DH first said he didn't see anything, then he said "well it's like there is a line in the background that isn't lit up"  IDK if we are just looking too hard, or it is a faint positive. I did have a cup of coffee this morning, so I'm sure that diluted my urine some.   It came in a box with 2 tests, so I can either A. wait until the am and test again or B. go to walmart and get a digital test.   So what would you do?

I'd wait & test again in the morning. That's not the fun answer, but it's what I'd do. I'd also get a digital just in case. When I got PG w/ J, I got a faint line w/ a Dollar Store test, then tested the next day w/ a digital. I really like seeing the word "Pregnant".

I did just like backthepack said - bfp with DS line test one day and digital the next. I'd wait until tomorrow morning with the other Dollar Store test, and then go digital if that's a positive. I think the digital ones take a higher level or the hormone than a line test anyway, so if you're just getting a faint line with the dollar store test, you probably wouldn't get a "pregnant' reading on a digital.

I hope you get lots more BFP's though!! Crossing my fingers for you!

Definitely wait until tomorrow morning. Go buy a digital today and in the morning pee in a cup. Then dip both tests in the cup. That way you will have a regular and a digital to compare. I did this and the regular test line was very very faint, but the digital came back positive for sure.

Good luck! I know it's hard to be patient, but testing later the day can result in a false negative because there is not enough hormones present in the urine. Best to use first morning urine.

this just happened to a friend and I told her to wait until the next morning yadda yadda...well she couldn't lol...and she went out and bought a digital and it was a BFP!

For an even more not fun answer - I would wait until Tuesday morning. If you are PG then that will give the hormones more time to show up in your urine and you'll get a darker line. I tested 2 days after no AF, then 2 days later, then 2 days later and still negative (not even a faint line). I had a little spotting and was thinking that maybe since my first AF post BFing was really heavy that maybe there just wasn't a lot going on. After nothing else, 2 weeks later I tested and the line changed as soon as I peed on it.

I'm answering late and hoping you tested and got a BFP this morning.  But just in case, I've always heard that a line is a line whether it's faint or not.  I didn't use a digital with R and just used the line tests I had to double check.  I hope you get your positive soon.  But just remember that it sometimes takes time to show up even if you really are pregnant.

Got a negative this am.  Still no AF though.  I've been having horribe low back pain and some intestinal unrest so I may just be sick.
