Aoife--I love it, but pronunciation will be very difficult for the average American.
Neve--I love it as well, but with the pronunciation you want, you're going to have a great deal of difficulty.
Reese--a lovely name FOR A BOY and far too trendy in either case.
Isis--easy to pronounce, but it seems to be favored mostly be poorly educated and/or classless individuals and for that reason it wouldn't be my choice.
They are all nms, but if I had to choose I would go with Aoife. However, be prepared for the frequent mispronunciations. Second choice would be Reese I guess. I really don't like the other two at all.

Isis is the name of a program that we use where I work ~ International Security Information Service. . . But if I didnt think of that everytime I heard it, it would be a pretty name!

Clomid Cycle 1 = BFP! ~ Our little miracle was born 11/1/11

Neve, then Reese (although Reese is becoming popular)
Mom to 2 beautiful girls, 3 yrs and 22 months old. My 2nd was born at 32 weeks due to Rhogam failure/severe complications from Rh disease and is our miracle. She has bilateral auditory neuropathy and a cochlear implant, activated 4/5/2012 at 19 months.
Here is my order:
Neve
Reese
Isis
Aoife (Are you Irish? If not, I would really avoid this one because she will probably meet 2 people in her whole life who know how to spell/pronounce it.)
I still like Neve, per your last thread when middle names were discussed.
Second place for me is Reese, though I don't consider it unique. I know several little girls with the name (and the actress of course). My male cousin's middle name is Reese, too.
I have to agree with the PP that said Isis is often chosen by "poorly educated/classless" individuals. There were two girls named Isis in my school growing up and both didn't come from, uh, model families. It's a pretty name, but it's just how I associate it based on personal experience.
Aoife will be butchered every day of her life. For this reason, it's a no go for me.
We just had a family friend name her little girl Aoife! It's already commonplace within our group now, and seems just like any other beautiful name. I love it - it's feminine and graceful. Definitely Aoife!
And to who asked it's pronounced Eefa, just like the OP mentioned in her post.
I like Aoife (DH loves this name!), and Neve is nice, although I prefer the Niamh spelling. Our niece is Niamh, and she's the cutest little girl! Reese is too trendy, and Isis is nms.
I like both Reese and Neve. Aoife is one of those names that will never be pronounced correctly and the poor thing will be constantly correcting people. Isis reminds me of that Isis Maternity store.
Aoife--I love it, but pronunciation will be very difficult for the average American.
Neve--I love it as well, but with the pronunciation you want, you're going to have a great deal of difficulty.
Reese--a lovely name FOR A BOY and far too trendy in either case.
Isis--easy to pronounce, but it seems to be favored mostly be poorly educated and/or classless individuals and for that reason it wouldn't be my choice.

wow
I teach and have taught in extremely poorly educated (which is NOT synonymous with classless) school and have never heard Isis. What an uneducated statement to make. We do have a Mardi Gras Krewe (Crew) named Isis...after the Greek Goddess.
Reese. I like Aoife, but I would never put a person through having to spell their name constantly because I had to do that with my maiden name and it was awful. My second choice is Isis, and I don't like Neve at all.
7 anovulatory cycles, 1 cycle 50 mg clomid, 4 cycles 100mg clomid, HSG double blockage, hysteroscopy with cyst and debris removal, fermara/IUI attempt abandoned because of anovulation, follistim/IUI attempt coming soon!
The only one I like is Reese. Neve is my second choice. Isis reminds of Egyptian Isis-Osiris story, which I always found really creepy. And Aoife is just to unique for me.
Reese - I really like this one! The best out of all four.
Aoife (an Irish name pronounced ee-fa) - This name is TERRIBLE! I know someone who named her daughter this and NO one can figure out how to pronounce it. I thought it was pronounced "A-Oh-Fee" lol...
Isis (pronounced eye-sis) - Sounds way too stripper-ish!
Re: My top 4 girl names: Which do you like the most?
DS #1- Ares Christopher
DS #2- Taj Lee
DD #1 Alba Gray
Baby #4- coming in May
Pretty much this.
Aoife--I love it, but pronunciation will be very difficult for the average American.
Neve--I love it as well, but with the pronunciation you want, you're going to have a great deal of difficulty.

Isis--easy to pronounce, but it seems to be favored mostly be poorly educated and/or classless individuals and for that reason it wouldn't be my choice.
They are not my style at all but if I had to pick, Isis.
Reese is too...unisex for my liking.
Aoife will get massacred.
Neve reminds me too much of Nevaeh and that's not a good association.
Isis is the only one I would pick.

1. Neve
2. Reese
3. Isis
4. Aoife (This will never be pronounced correctly, and nobody wants to spend their life correcting people.)
Love the name Reese ~

I'll go against the grain here and pick Reese...it seems to suit Ms. Witherspoon just fine lol
Second best I like Neve.
Isis is okay.
Aoife is too difficult IMO.
You have a new poll just about every day.

vegan mama, military wife
Um, ok.
vegan mama, military wife
For those of us not familiar with Irish names, all are unusual + albeit a bit difficult but for Reese.
I will say I like Neve, if I'm saying it correctly, the best.
