ARGH

I can take the stupid pg comments.  But then can't stand when dh thinks they are fine to say.  Then goes on to say that he would say them to someone.  (To which I said umm now you know).

Plus, to say to someone you look bigger than the last time I saw you is insulting.  Its not something you would say to someone who wasn't pg, so why is it ok to say to someone who is.  Add to that that the last time they saw you was LAST NIGHT and the time before that was Wednesday....

Then to add the question, have you bought maternity clothes yet?

I don't understand how people can think this is NOT rude?

Re: ARGH

  • yeah, i'm done with the stupid comments on weight.  i almost punched the nail salon lady last night b/c she asked how much i had gained...when i told her i had lost weight b/c i was sick, she gave me this disgusted look and just said 'oh'.

people need to just keep their freaking mouths shut.

  • Yeah...I have no idea why the minute a woman gets pregnant people seem to through all rules of proper decorum out the window.  Rude comments, inappropriate questions, touching w/o asking.

Seriously...if it isn't okay to do to someone who ISN'T knocked up, totally not cool to even think about doing to someone who is hormonal and has a pretty damn good excuse to kick you in the crotch.

Dh's argument is that you should be happy you are getting bigger because it means the baby is growing, so its a compliement.

    a. You don't have to be enormous to have a baby

    b.  Doesn't he think its odd that these comments always come when he is out of the room?  lol

  • Just ask him if his penis is shrinking and if he's purchased smaller undies yet.  Perhaps that'll get the point across.
