Where to buy cheap books?

I am planning to give my SIL a "library" for her shower present. I want to start stock piling books, but it is an expensive idea! I have found that Kohls has their charity books for just $5 a piece, can anyone think of any other place that has inexpensive books?

It's a book order form from the daycare/school.  They have a great selection and cheap.  Most are preschool + though!

A couple of weeks ago I was at Blockbuster Video, and they had some great books for 99 cents.  I was shocked, but got a few.  Other than that, I'm not really sure.

The dollar store actually has a ton of board books for $1 a piece. great for little kids b/c they can't rip out the pages. They also have regualr books for a buck too!

barnes and noble has a used section on thier website. i get all my books there i recently got 8 books, most were brand new not even used for 42 bucks

Our city library has a book sale twice a year; all books $0.50 and $1...see if your local library has one.

The dollar spot at Target often has good board books for babies and very young toddlers.  Just don't waste your money on any paperback books - babies/young toddlers just tear them up.
