I'm been on the knot and the nest for years. I was even on the BNOTB board since it's inception. Now, I'm 36, almost done school and wondering how did time go so fast?
Well I had some medical issues 2 years ago and went off the pill then. Since then we've been on and off trying with no luck. We went to a fertility doctor a few weeks ago. I had my first ultrasound and bloodwork last week. It looked good so I started Clomid yesterday. I have to go back next week for more bloodwork and another ultrasound. I also have a hysterosalpinogram schedule next week too.
Is there a cheat sheet for the abbreviations like CD and such? I'm kinda lost on all the BOTB boards.
Re: Another newbie that is taking the plunge
Hi there! I'm new here too. I just turned 35 and am wondering where the time has gone as well!
I've been with my husband for 10 years and am staring to wonder, what the heck have we been waiting for? (Married for two). I think I spent the first 7 years worried I would get pregnant ha! Oh well.
Sounds like you have a plan, good luck at your next appointment.

Hi,
Good luck with your testing. I haven't done any of that yet... I'm 37 and just got married, on my 4th cycle. I've only been on this board for a few weeks myself but the ladies have so nice! There is a Bump glossary with a lot of the terms. On my screen, it is at the bottom of all the community boards, all the way down.

Hi-
I'm glad I found this board. I am brand new also. I am 36 (will be 37 in January). I've been married for 3 years (second marriage, much better this time around ). I just finished up my undergraduate degree in May. Now I am in my dietetic internship and will finish with that in June. I have wanted kids since I can remember. I've been putting it off because I want to get through school. We did try for a short while back in 2008 for about 3-4 months with no luck. We're talking about starting to try in March 2011 so it's not cutting it too close to being in the internship. If you have any advice for me how to navigate around this site (or anything else), I would appreciate it!
Maria
I have to say I am very happy with my career choices and going back to school. I would not change that if given the chance to have that or a baby. For me, a career that pays well will help us raise our child if it does happen. I ultimately want to be happy in life which I would have not been in my past position.
Welcome newbies! Your career discussion is an interesting one. I also have put off TTC until now. We knew it would be an uphill climb but I don't think we would change our decision either if we could. Good luck everyone!!!
