Is it too weird?

To name our DD Georgia if my DH's name is George?  I'm not a fan of Juniors or anything like that, but we really like Georgia and our biggest hesistation is that it is kind of like a Junior for a girl.  Am I overthinking this?

Not too weird.  My favorite variant of George is Georgiana, which might be slightly less confusing when you are calling out one of their names and they both respond.

i think it's too similar and they'll always be both saying "what?!?" when you say their names... it is like a junior thing.. but alot of people do juniors too

I inherited my dad's MN - he's Louis and I'm Louise.  I always liked having that connection with him

It's a little different when it's a feminized version of the name. I doubt you'll get as many mix-ups! And remember, it is a DIFFERENT name.

I think the feminized versions are fun. The history is a bit sexist (in ancient Rome, all girls were named after their fathers - Cornelia, Julia, etc), but today it's just nice, IMO. If I liked the name Olivia, I'd use it on a girl so she could be named after DH.

I don't think it's weird, but I do think it will be similar to a Junior.  Like a pp mentioned, I think there could be confusion.

I think it's a great idea.  Just don't name a future boy George.  I know a family where the dad and son are Frederick and go by Fred, and the daughter is Fredericka and goes by Freddie.  Thta's too much.

I think it is really sweet! Georgia is one of those names that I like, but wouldn't use IRL because it doesn't work with my last name.
