2 pc footed PJs??? What does your toddler sleep in?

I am having a very hard time finding pajamas for dd for this winter.  She is potty trained, so I would like to find her some two piece pajamas that are footed. She takes her socks off and also doesn't keep a blanket on her.

What is your toddler going to sleep in this winter? Do they actually keep their socks on or keep themselves covered w/ a blanket?

I know Carters makes some, but they're really thin.  I found some from Land's End

but I really don't want to spend $30+shipping+tax. And if I was, I would want them gender neutral in hopes that a future child could wear them.

help!

Re: 2 pc footed PJs??? What does your toddler sleep in?

  • I just bought her a few 2 piece sets from Carters adn Target.  She doesn't sleep in socks - I've never even tried that - I figure she'll keep the blanket on her if/when she gets cold.  I have a few warm fleece one pieces that I'll use if it gets really cold, but mostly she's annoyed w/ those and keeps asking me to take it off - especially the feet!

  • DD is also potty trained so she sleeps in 2pc PJs. She sleeps with socks on and keeps them on. She asks for socks when we put her PJs on and if we forget then she is asking for them as soon as I put her to bed.

  • So maybe I'll just try the 2 pc PJs w/ socks.  Any fav brands for the winter? We live in a very warm climate but our house is horribly insulated and gets coooold!

  • DD's thicker winter PJs are Carters. She also wears a tank top/undershirt(got them at Target)under her PJs to help keep her warmer.

  • I am in the same boat as you, searching for heavy weight 2 piece footed pjs but can't find them, other than the lands end and I will not pay $30 a pair for pjs.  I got a couple fleece 2 piece (Carters brand) but they don't have feet and a couple of the thinner two piece with feet from Carters and will just put a onsie underneath for colder nights. DD is potty training now which is why I want the 2 piece.  I put a blanket on her but she rolls around alot so it usually falls off.  Everyone tells me at 2 she's old enough that if she's that cold she'll cover herself back up but I'm not too sure about that.  However, every night she sweats, whether she has footed pjs on or not, her hair is always wet with sweat, so I guess she's just very warm blooded (although her hands and feet sometimes are cold to the touch). I don't think she'd keep socks on at night because she makes me take them off for naps.  If you think your DD would keep the socks on, try the fleece Carter's PJs, they are really soft and seem very cozy or the lighter ones with a onsie or t-shirt underneath.  Good Luck!
  • I usually buy the 2 piece pj's from Old Navy, but I bought Disney 2 piece ones last year when they had them for $5.99 a pair.  They are the same thing as the Old navy ones.  They are not very thick, so I put a t-shirt underneath and socks on.  When my daughter gets up to go to the restroom and then she comes into our bed, she usually wants her socks off.  When she sleeps in our bed she does not sleep under the covers either.  I guess she is just a warm person.

    We don't use footed pj's.

  • We have DD in those one piece zip up PJ's.  She has learned to unzip it herself and zip it.  She goes to the potty rather consistently at night by herself and has no issues.  If she needs help, we are always there to help her.  NOT a big deal.  She loves them and she hates wearing two pieces, because she doesn't think they are PJ's.
