TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

CD1

Well, we tried several medicated cycles and they didn't work.  So now we're back to trying again naturally and saving up for IVF.  If we get pg and miscarry again, I'll know it wasn't just 'bad luck.'

Here's my question:  I'm prone to get cysts from the injections.  I know I SHOULD go in for a CD3 appt. to check and see if there are any, right?  I just don't want to.  I'm sick of fighting the traffic to go in the morning. I'm sick of missing a whole morning of work.  I'm sick of seeing that office and the u/s machine.  But I should do the responsible thing and go one more time, right?  Or do small cysts just go away on their own after a while?

Re: CD1

  • (((hugS)))  I'm sorry about CD1.  If you do have cysts from Clomid they should just be functional cysts, which go away on their own.  If you aren't doing another medicated cycle, I don't really see the point of going in.

  • I'm sorry Betsy. When are we buying our tickets for Jamaica again? Could you call your doctor and tell him how you feel and fight out his opinion? I hope things work out for you hon. ((hugs))

  • Dang it!  I'm so sorry.  :(   ((HUGE HUGS))

Did you go on your last CD3 to check for cysts?  If so, then maybe you could skip a month & take a break (if your cysts aren't a problem for your overall health).  Then, if your next cycle doesn't work out (but I really hope it does!), you could go for that CD3?

I hate that you're going through this.  Ugh.

  • Fvck.  I'm so sorry about the bfn.  I'm hoping for an off-the-meds surprise for you.  Unfortunately, I have no idea about the cysts.

  • Sorry about AF showing.  So frustrating.

If you're not doing a medicated cycle, you wouldn't have to call.  It could hinder you from O'ing, depending on what kinda of horomones it is producing...but if you did have one, it would go away on its own.  And from what I understand, even if you have one, you can get pregnant and it doesn't cause issues.

  • I'm sorry, B.  That sucks.

As for the cysts, I don't know, but if they are caused by the injections and you're going natural for awhile, it sounds like they'd go away on their own.  I sure hope so.

  • I'm sorry.  We're going the natural route right now.  My RE didn't mention going in for cd3 blood work.  I didn't ask specifically, but she said I didn't need to do any testing if we weren't going to be using meds.  Are you going to try an natural stuff or just take a nice break?

We're just going to go at it the old-fashioned way.  I don't want to try Vitex because I didn't do well with the Clomid.

  • I'm sorry - AF sucks.  I had 2 cysts this month too and my RE told me to come in on my next CD3.  He thinks they are functional cysts that will hopefully resolve by next cycle.  Even though the traffic sucks, I would consider going in again just for peace of mind and to see what's going on. Mine are both on the right so he said there is absolutely no reason not to try again on my own since I could O on the left and there would be no issue at all.
