I just got a BFP on two tests (I had to make sure the first one wasn't a fluke!).  I am sooo excited and cannot wait to tell DH (not sure how I'm going to do that yet) but am cautious and nervous at the same time.  This will be our first and I teach a class on Human Development and am familiar with all of the things that can go wrong.  AF is/was supposed to show this Sunday but I decided to test early so as time goes on I am thinking I will feel more confident about this.  Anybody else experience feelings of excitement but caution at the same time?  Thanks for giving me a place to share as I don't want to tell friends and family for a while (at least 10 weeks) but was going to burst if I couldn't share somewhere.

     When I get a BFP I am thinking of making a dinner with all baby things.  Baby carrots, baby corn, some sort of tiny steaks or something, baby muffins... anything baby I can think of.   Then I will see if he gets it.  Then I'll have a gift with a onsies that says, "I love my Daddy" or something like that.

     Good luck to you!  I understand the caution.  :)  I'll pray for you!!!

    I am about to hit 11 weeks and I'm still both excited and nervous, so you are not alone there.

    Congrats!  I think I will be nervous (when/if the time comes...) as well. I think that is normal, especially at our age.    Love the baby carrots/food idea for telling DH. Very cute idea.

    DE IVF #2 2/13 BFP/Beta hell: m/c 5w6d
    CFNBC 7 months, not doing well; decided on guarantee program at RBA w/frozen DE

    BFP somewhere around 2/14/13  d&c april @ 12 wks   partial molar diagnosed after d&c
    HCG monitoring for approx 11 months

    Congrats!  Yes it is very normal to be excited and nervous all at the same time.  I wish I could tell you that at some point your "worrying" will go away but it doesn't.  First you worry about making it to the end of the first trimester, then worry about a safe birth - and then you really worry once the baby is here and as my Mom told me it will never go away.  BUT it is all worth it!!!
