I jumped on the raw honey bandwagon

And I'm LOVING it. I was a huge skeptic, especially for my oily, breakout prone skin. But the mass of red bumps on my chin is already largely diminished and I feel like my complexion is smoother, softer & more even.

I do still have some teenage type problems but it's only been 4 days that I've used it.

Re: I jumped on the raw honey bandwagon

  • I hate to ask for details (again) so is there a good resource out there that explains the process (i.e., what type of honey, how exactly to use it, etc.).  I'll google too.

I know a lot of people use local raw honey, but I just bought some from the organic aisle at my grocery store. It needs to say RAW on it. You want the crystallization for scrubbing. I only paid $5.99 for a container of it. I just rub it around then rinse.

I've used a toner once or twice this week and follow it up with a lightweight moisturizer.

Thanks!  I saw organic raw honey at the market & it was $10 for a pretty small jar so I didn't buy it.  Do you think your container will last as long as a container of traditional face wash?  Then I could probably justify the cost.

There were several there and I bought the cheapest. There were some that were as much as $12. The container I got is 1 lb of honey and will definitely last a looong time. It really doesn't take much.

Dobie, did you have cystic acne?  Mine is back after trying jojoba oil for 2 months (BIG mistake), though it might be getting better.

And do you wash with honey both morning and night, or just one?
