APB: rain/all weather coat

Hey ladies...I'm looking for a rain coat or all weather coat that is not too heavy...Preston has a heavy everyday coat but I'm looking for something designed more specifically for rain. Thanks in advance.

Re: APB: rain/all weather coat

  • I need to get Miller a heavy everyday coat.  Where did you get yours?
  • I need a raincoat for Lydia too.  I haven't found much online, they're mostly for toddlers and not babies Crying

I bought it from Old Navy online right after Preston was born...it was super cheap...I think I only paid about $6 for it. Its a bubble coat in primary colors.

    This exactly!

  • This is a toughie-especially for boys! Gap & Old Navy usually both have good coats (heavy & light) for infant & toddler boys. I had a tougher time with infant raincoats though. The smallest size I could find was Coco Bonbon's 12mos; however I remember seeing WalMart sometimes has the little windsuit type jackets for infants, although not always hooded.

I've checked Old Navy and The Children's Place...they both have coats that would work but not quite what I'm looking for....I'll check Wal-Mart.

  • Mitchell has a light jacket that I would consider a rain coat and it has a hood. It was a gift so I'm not sure where it came from.  But it's RL so I would bet you could find one in various places. (Not sure if it's your style either though).

I bought him a "heavy" bubble coat a couple weeks ago at Marshall's and I saw a lot of jackets for babies and toddlers.  So I would check there and/or TJ Maxx.

  • Ok...now I'm embarrassed...Preston has a lined windbreaker w/ an attached hood hanging in his closet...I remember putting all of the jackets and coats up after the shower and never thought to look up there until now...its perfect for what I need!

Girl I feel your pain! I ended up with way too many 12-18 mo coats and really M needs 18-24mo now. Oh well!
