CDs and cord stump ?

DS cord has not fallen off yet.  We used CDs for a few days last week, but the covers were irritating his cord (mainly thirsties duo wraps).  It was leaving crusties on the cover and it looked a little raw.  So we switched back to sposies, and are almost out, but the darn cord is still there.  I know it's going to have to fall off any day, but I'm nervous to switch back to CDs.  Am I doing something wrong?  It doesn't seem like anyone else seems to struggle with this problem.  TIA!

no, it happens. we would get some little crusty bits on the edge of the thirsties cover. We had a few proraps that have more of a cutout for the cord area, but I didn't like them as much. You'll have some crusties after the cord falls off anyway, his button still needs to keep healing. Just try to keep the covers on the lowest setting possible and keeping him flat as possible seemed to help prevent rubbing.

We used mainly prowraps for when DS had his cord (which was FOREVER).  We actually eventually started trying to help it fall off, w/ pedi's permission because it was taking so long.
