Anyone bleed kind of a lot after sub-q injection?

Last night I did my Follstim injection, and after I removed the needle I bled kind of a lot....more than the normal drop that might form at the injection site. This time, enough blood came out that it dripped down my stomach and I had to catch it with my hand and grab a paper towel so it wouldn't get on my pants. It wasn't "gushing" or anything and I was able to stop it quickly with pressure.

I'm not worried about the actual bleeding, but could all of that precious Follistim have come out with the blood?! Anyone have this happen to them? I've had bleeders on my backside after PIO a couple times, but never from the stomach...

  • I had that happen once.  I also had a few nights where I could see a little drop of Follistim come back out even though I counted to 5 before pulling out the needle.  Everything was fine.

  • This happened to me a couple of times.  I figured I must've nicked a vessel or something.  I wouldn't worry too much about it.  Just try to avoid that spot again.  Good luck!!

  • Yup, that happened to me on my second Ovidrel trigger. My first and third I had no bleeding...guess it just depends on if you hit a blood vessel or not.
