? about returning to gym PP

Hi.  Yesterday my DS was 6 weeks and I returned to the gym - I've been super anxious to return b/c I want to lose the weight and it's good mentally for me. 

After my workout later in the day I had some spotting that was browning in color and a few small cramps.  Is this normal upon returning to the gym or did I return to early or did I overdo it?   I plan to ask my Dr but he is very very cautious and will tell me to stay out of the gym for another 6 weeks which just isn't happening :-)

  • I think you probably overdid it. I remember going out for a jog at 6 weeks PP and spotted too so i took that as a sign it was too early for running. Instead, I walked/jogged until I stopped noticing spotting.

  • I would say it's normal. I had spotting every time I worked out for a few weeks, with no negative implications whatsoever.

    But, just to be safe, I would call your practitioner.

  • I spotted as well but never had any cramping or pain. I continued to run and was fine, never had any side effects or problems :)
