After multiple m/c's, a MTHFR diagnosis and the Lord calling both of our hearts in the same direction, we're adopting! theluckiest
Someone is whining that their 7 week old baby is spoiled and needy.
*facepalm*
... something tells me mama is diagnosing herself a tad more than her LO.
I am in such a bad mood (read:burnt out and exhausted) right now that it took a lot of effort not to post some serious snark and mind-giving.
That's my board right now and we could use some snark! I may be a new mom, but I'm not naive or stupid enough to think that a 7 week old who wants picked up when they cry is "spoiled."
I think those boards have enough I know better, holier than thou types on them already.
People are just trying to do what is best for their kids however misguided they are. They don't need your high and mighty attitudes.
That's one reason why we stay over here in Kumbaya-ville.

You're not helping your cause.
Notice I didn't post over there, yet you had to post here about high & mighty attitudes? Good job.
FWIW I don't think the phrase "however misguided" should ever be applied to child care. Ignorance does not give you a free pass to do whatever the eff you want.

I just don't see how everyone is wrong and you are right. I don't think what works for one baby works for all.
I love this board. I have gotten great ideas from it. I feel like it is one of "my boards" so I felt compelled to put up a mirror on this post and show just how rude it was.
I believe in "those in glass houses..." I am always happy to offer helpful advise based on my experience but I never think I am the end all and be all of parenting and that I know what is best for anyone else. Your post really struck a nerve because it was just so over the top.
Sometimes parents are misguided. Sometimes they have to try different methods before they find one that works for their kid. I think a lot of love and doing the best you can go a long way. It's not your kid. Shouldn't they be able to raise their child as they see fit within the limits of reason?
I was rude also and I shouldn't have been and I am sorry. It is not my place to point out flaws in others. I apologize. Your post just struck a nerve. I guess that makes me human. I will try to learn from my mistake that rude doesn't help it only hurts and it doesn't make me the better person, far from it. I should have found a better way to express my concern over the attitude in the post or just let it go. I am not your mom. I don't need to try to teach you to be a more open minded person. Once again, I am sorry.

Re: i should know better.
Yeah.... I stay away from all those boards.
They make me want to hit people.

I hadn't checked the 0-3 board but out of curiosity I just did.

And they continue to breed. It's a scary world.

Yikes! Where'd you come from? Defensive much?
