Right now I just have a medium planet wise wet bag that's meant for the diaper bag really, but I use it at home too. I ordered a large hanging one, but am waiting on it to arrive.
Anyways....the point Since the wet bag I have isn't very big I often will just use a plastic shopping bag from Target or Walmart and just tie it once so it can be untied to add more diapers. It works just fine and although it isn't the most EF option, you are reusing a plastic bag at least once!
Re: Do you need to get a pail liner?
Sometimes I use a regular pillowcase. It gets a bit damp, but does the job.
I also made my own. I used the wrong thread and it split open along the seams. Haven't fixed it yet.
