So I turned 35 a couple months ago and around the same time found out that I have some uterine abnormalities, maybe double cervix.
We were married two years ago, and for the first year very blaze about conceiving. If it happened, it happened. Then we were ready to be more proactive about it, and I became very sick for 3-4 months. I was hesitant after that, because I didn't feel 100%.
Well, after all the testing for my health problems (mostly kidney issues) it turns out I have a uterine septum and possible septate or double cervix. Not something I ever expected. I had a 3d physician directed ultrasound last month. (not fun by the way)
We were planning to wait a little longer, since my husband is doing a project in Mexico City and I would rather see my doctors back home. Plus it is not the safest here. However, in light of this I feel like we can't waste much time.
I have an RE appointment (back home) in late Nov. to discuss a plan, so I am looking forward to that. I wish he could see me sooner though! Has anyone been to an RE for a uterine septum? One thing we will go over is surgery to remove it. Anyone had that? My OB said to try to get pregnant first and see what happens, but the miscarriage rate is pretty high.
So there's my novel! I hope to join you and figure all of this out!
Re: Hello! Newly 35 with some issues
hello and welcome
my girlfriend (she is 33) has a bicornate uterus and two cervixes. She has never had issues, but has been told when she does TTC, the m/c rate is higher. They also told her to just TTC and go from there.
I wish I had more to tell you but that is what they told her. good luck.

Thank you for your responses!
jb2rn, that is good to know that surgery wasn't required for your friend. I would rather not go that route if I don't have to! But I guess for some people it reduces MC rate drastically, like 80%. We'll see if I am one of those people.
