Does Lupron need to be refrigerated?

The box it came in says store below 77 degrees. Ok so you're thinking, then isn't obvious?? But I could have sworn things on here about it being refrigerated..so now I'm confused.

Edit:  Hmmm interesting other responses...I never refrigerated mine and it did not come in cold packs from the pharmacy.  Our house is never over 77 degrees though so I guess it was ok.

I was told yes.  It even arrived in a thermal pack with ice packs and said refrigerate upon receipt.

I was told by my RE no, the box also did not have refrigerate on it either.  But, I do anyways...at least until I open it.

In the summer or in warmer climates where the temperature is regularly above 80 degrees, you should refrigerate Lupron.  For example, I kept mine in the fridge and let it come to room temperature before injecting.

I did not need to refrigerate mine until after it was mixed! The mixed responses are interesting.

Also, I am supposed to "warm" mine in my hand for about 10 minutes before each injection. Weird!!

I didn't refrigerate mine, as our house temperature is generally around 70 degrees. So I didn't worry about it.

Mine just came yesterday and it says the same thing - below 77 degrees.  My house hovers around 65 so I'm not going to refridgerate.  However, our Gonal-f needs to be refridgerated.

Interesting, mine didn't come in cold packs (only the Gonal F) and based on the info I have room temp is fine.

i was told to refrigerate after opening. i didn't for the first few cycles because i didn't know and nothing happened, but to be safe i would after you open it. my nurse told me it keeps it fresh and increases shelf life.
