diapers.com registry?

My husband and I found out that we're having a BOY! :)  last week.  On Saturday we decided to register because our families have asked us to do so before the holiday season (wonder what's on their minds for holiday gifts...)  We chose to register with diapers.com for a few reasons:They have a storefront in Montclair, New Jersey where people who are uncomfortable with internet shopping can go to see our choices. They have the best online prices as far as we've seen.We get a $50 registry credit for every $500 of products purchased, we got $25 credit for registering at the store, and we get a 10% completion discount. They have practically everything we've wanted with one exception: the first years learning curve kickin' coaster glider.  I can live without it.Free shipping for all registry purchases.SO- my plug is done and my question is, does anyone know why people who buy off of our registry can't use ANY coupon codes??  Or if there are special coupon codes for registry purchases?

Re: diapers.com registry?

  • I didn't realize they had a storefront.  We registered at BRU but I might add Diapers.com for some of our cloth diapering stuff since I think they have that too.

Was there a minimum amount to get the $25 credit?

  • No minimum.  You just have to make an appointment with them.  Here's their information.  They are THE most helpful people I've ever met.  I hope that you live close enough to check them out!  My registry person was Keri, but April is also very nice, as is the entire staff.

  • Thanks!  I'm about a half hour away so I could definitely make it in on the weekend.

  • I work for Roche in Nutley so I will check them out soon. What does store front mean?? Is it like a real store?

Yea it sucks that you can't use coupons with the registry but that would be awful for them since you can get up to $100 off if you are a new customer using the 20% off referral code. So I guess they have just blocked it. It's ok though, I would just tell people to let me know if they got something using the referral code and I will take it off my registry. BTW, the referral code gets you a $10 credit. What sucks for us though is that people in NY and NJ pay taxes on their purchases :(

  • The store is an actual store, but they don't always have everything in stock- hence free shipping.  You can actually touch/see/feel/play with everything that is essential to your registry before you put it on your registry.  It also gives people who aren't comfortable shopping online a place to see what they're buying before they buy it. They also take phone orders. If you want to see pictures of the store before you go, they have a place page on Google (I linked it for you).  If you're familiar with the area, it is where Baby Boom used to be.

I can see where they'd lose money if people got to use the coupon on the registry, though I did call the store and they said if people bring or call in with their order and coupon code they'd adjust the price!  They're awesome!
