Sorry to jump in on this one. We are getting K the Kidkraft retro kitchen, the same kitchen that Loyo has for AC. The kitchen we got is pink, but they also have a similar red version on amazon that would work well for a boy.

Bethany I remember Monica saying Caleb has one.  They have some more boy looking kitchens out there...maybe if you also buy GK a grilling set the kitchen idea would be a little more appealing

We ended up getting the Little Tikes Wooden Kitchen set.  It's a tad smaller than I expected it to be, But Avery loves it and I love that there is a lot of 'storage' compartments to be able to stash the play food and dishes in it. 

It was a PITA to put together, but overall I'm really happy with it.  Also - the little tikes customer service was great - we had a panel that ended up splitting due to us using the wrong hardware, and they sent a new piece within a few days.
