Dumb question - How do I defrost muffins?

I made some pumpkin muffins a couple of weeks ago and froze the extras.  Now I'm not sure what the best way is to defrost one.  How do you do it?

  • I would do what I do with loaves of bread I freeze, put them in the fridge for a day or two. If I wanted one now I would put it in the microwave on the "warm" or "defrost" setting for a minute or two

  • I've put mine in the fridge and waited.  I would even just let them sit out.  I don't think that bread actually freezes like a liquid would.  I put regular bread in there all the time and just put it in the fridge the night before.  If I'm desperate for a piece I'll microwave it a few seconds at a time until its warmed up enough to be edible.

  • I keep muffins in the freezer for DS. I take one out every morning and put it in the microwave for 25-30 secs and voila!
  • I have no helpful advice but the title made me LOL because it reminded me of that SNL skit with Betty White talking about her dusty muffin.

  • I'd just let them sit on the counter. I'm not a fan I what the microwave does to the texture.
