Dumb question - How do I defrost muffins?

I made some pumpkin muffins a couple of weeks ago and froze the extras.  Now I'm not sure what the best way is to defrost one.  How do you do it?

I would do what I do with loaves of bread I freeze, put them in the fridge for a day or two. If I wanted one now I would put it in the microwave on the "warm" or "defrost" setting for a minute or two

I've put mine in the fridge and waited.  I would even just let them sit out.  I don't think that bread actually freezes like a liquid would.  I put regular bread in there all the time and just put it in the fridge the night before.  If I'm desperate for a piece I'll microwave it a few seconds at a time until its warmed up enough to be edible.

I keep muffins in the freezer for DS. I take one out every morning and put it in the microwave for 25-30 secs and voila!

I have no helpful advice but the title made me LOL because it reminded me of that SNL skit with Betty White talking about her dusty muffin.

I'd just let them sit on the counter. I'm not a fan I what the microwave does to the texture.
