Houston Babies

She's growing out of the magic footed pj's!!!

So there's only one footed pj's that Ally will sleep through the night in.  We bought two of the exact same ones (patterns and everything).  We got it in different patterns  but was still the same size and brand/style and she woke up with it.

Sigh...so for the past month, she has been alternating between the two exact same pj's.  However,,,she's getting too long and her knees are bending a little when she's in them.  So basically, it's time for a size up (they don't have that pattern is a size up).  DH and I are both scared of the switch to new pj's.  DH is in such a big denial that it's getting too short on her that he even tried to stretch it out himself.  Can you see how desparate we are to not go back to the way things were???? hahaha

  • Which pj's are they?  Seems like Nesties can find anything.

  • LOL  You crack me up, and I totally understand the allure of the magic pjs.  But since our kids seem to be on the same sleep-trajectory I will offer you the encouragement that Cooper's sleep improved dramatically around the same time you found the magic pjs.  So hopefully, Ally's has too and she'll be able to sleep in new pjs!

they're just regular Carter pj's that are footed.  I cal them magic because she didn't start sleeping through the night until she wore these (well...she was also a little over 9 months old!)

it's amazing how you want things to stay exactly the same so badly that you try to do everything EXACTLY the same.  DH is more paranoid about it than I am since he's the one in charge of night shifts! =)

  • LOL, that is too funny about your DH trying to stretch them out! I would be the same way...anything that helps them sleep through the night is worth it!

  • does anybody in your family sew? They could cut the legs below the knees and add a tube of knit fabric to extend the legs.

but what if that gets rid of the magic? =)

I called DH and he said that he's going to continue stretching them longer until at least this weekend when we'll try a new set.  yikes!

You could cut the feet off and just put socks on her, but you're right, that might let the magic out!! ;)  Or the feet could be the magic part.  You just never know.
