Jogging strollers

Has anyone bought one? Or does anyone have any recommendations for them?  Right now I am looking at the Jeep Jogging Stroller, but I am somewhat clueless about all this.  I think we definitely want a fixed front wheel for stability purposes.  Both DH and I are runners so we want one that will hold up well.  I'd love to hear from anyone who has one!

Re: Jogging strollers

  • If you guys are actual runners, I think you'll find reviews for inexpensive jogging strollers to be pretty low.  I think if you want a good jogger, you need to look at the higher end models made specifically for runners - Baby Jogger, BOB, etc.  Those brands make more utilitarian joggers, but they also have models that are geared for runners that are highly rated.

  • I'm not sure about the others, but I tested out the Jeep one at BRU & it was a beast! I had a hard time maneuvering that sucker around.

  • I've narrowed mine down to the BOB revolution or Bumbleride Indie - I'll probably go with the Bob as it's cheaper and is supposed to be the better stroller for jogging. Too bad they both have pink options I just can't resist. Is it ok to put a boy in a pink stroller? ;)

  • noooooo on the jeep one!!!  I recommend a BOB, baby jogger or ironman.  I have a baby jogger and love it!

  • Have to disagree with the bad Jeep reviews.  I run 3 -5 miles a day 5 days a week and love the Jeep Jogger.  I take DD with me all the time and she loves it too!  Started using it when she was 8 weeks old and still using it today!  (She is 3!)

  • My suggestion is to go to a store and test drive them, Don't buy your stroller online until you know it's gonna be a good one!! They will let you run one around the store and etc to see how it feels!!

Burlington Coat Factory has a pretty good display set, as does Babies R Us . . .
