beginning to really dislike my body

So last cycle i was plagued w/ cold sores, literally got one right after the other for a total of 3 cold sores in a month and a half.  i literally will not leave my house when i have one b/c i feel so gross. 

However, i had no YI in the 2ww last cycle. but i can already feel the beginnings of a YI in this 2ww. 

WTF is wrong w/ my body and why isn't it cooperating!!?!?!  i'm so sick of this *** and feeling gross all the time. 

I feel bad for my poor OB when i see her on the 18th.  she's going to get an ear full!!!!

I'm so sorry. YI's are the worst. I got 1/month after my second D&C and my OB kept saying that everything was normal. Really? Fvcking normal?? Yet another reason why I left that practice.

I'm sorry.  Have you tried taking lysine for the cold sores?  It can help when you feel them coming on. That being said, it sounds like your body really needs some time to rest and recouperate from stress/being run down- which I'm assuming is happening b/c taking care of a kid while going through this process is a lot to handle.

i got cold sores really bad when i was in h.s. and i tried taking lysine but it never seemed to help.  i think i may give it another try since i seem to be going through another cycle of them. blah.  i usually take valtrex and that really seems to help. 

Would be nice to be able to rest.  LOL!

Has your doctor cultured your YI?  I only ask, because I had one that kept coming back and it turned out it was a different kind of yeast that could only be killed by boric acid.  I had to get special pills made and stick them up there for a month.  It was torture, but once that was done it was a long time before I got another one.

I know, seriously it's a problem. I  didn't find a way to rest at all over the past 2 months, even though I needed it, and had a bad cough for 3-4 weeks plus a sinus infection.  I've almost kicked the cough now, and it started on vacation september 23.  I hope you can get healthy!

Hmm.  I still have to believe that it just is never really going away, just getting better enough that you don't notice the symptoms.  I also always take at least 2 doses of diflucan, sometimes 3.  Maybe you should ask for a super dose like that and see if it finally knocks it out of you?  My OB was fine with that when I told her that is what had worked in the past for me. 

It does kind of make sense to me that it is always coming back strong at the same point in your cycle.  They say hormones are a huge factor in fueling them.  That doesn't make it good or right of course.

i really think i do have low progesterone.  and i stopped vitex at O this cycle so i wonder if that has anything to do w/ it?  hmmm....

Oh frack.  Babes, I was hoping you were out of the woods with this YI nonsense.    If you're still planning on going to the RE, I'd definitely bring this up with him/her (hopefully you won't have to, though!).  S/he may have a better grasp of the relationship between your hormones & YIs & might have a better plan than doing the same thing over & over with the same results.

someone needs to check something on me b/c this has been going on for far too long now.    i've already made a list of things i want to discuss w/ my OB at my appt. and this is definitely on there.  and if i'm referred to an RE i'll make sure to bring it up w/ them too.

I get cold sores too.  I know you said Lysine doesn't work, but sometimes Vitamin E can. Have you tried that?

interesting that you bring up Vit. E, i heard it helps w/ fertility so i started taking it about 3months ago.  LOL!  never knew it helped w/ cold sores but in my case it's not helping since i just had a horrid outbreak. 

honestly i think my body is just broken.  i think i may pick up some lysine at target tomorrow.  can't hurt to give it another shot.

As far as the cold sores go, I was about to recommend Vitamin E, too.  When DH had really badly sunburned lips (after breaking trails on a 14,000 ft. mountain in Colorado--sexy!--well, except for the sunburned lips!) he'd puncture the capsule & spread the (thick) contents on the burns, themselves.  I think the theory is that it's an antioxidant, so it may help speed healing.  But it's also VERY sticky & gooey & is not something I'd do right before going out to a cocktail party.  

Oh, & as for the lysine, we actually use it for cats who get repeated viral upper respiratory infections.  It's supposed to compete with the virus for a certain nutrient &, as a result, may decrease the viral shedding & speed healing time.  

Hope you get over all of your symptoms & feel better soon!!!

Awe thanks so much!  That was so nice of you to say.  It's nice having a cycle buddy to go through this with each month.  I am hoping and praying for your BFP too! 

ah, i see, you apply the Vit. E.  interesting!  i'll have to try that next time but hopefully i won't have one for a long, long time. stupid things.  I seriously remain housebound for as long as possible when i have one.  LOL  Thankfully i work from home so i can kinda get away w/ not going out too much when i have an outbreak. and if my lips ever got sunburnt like your DH's i would have broken out in a million cold sores.  LOL 

that's an interesting bit of info. about the lysine for kitties too. 

I'm gonna be all types of drugged up.  LOL!  between my vitex, RRTL, Vit. E, lysine, B6 and my PNV.
