Taking decongestants while bf'ing...

Have you done this?  I have a mother of a cold and cannot breathe through my nose.  The new "fake" Sudafed usually does nothing for me- I usually have to buy the real deal at the pharmacy.  I keep seeing conflicting information about taking Sudafed etc while bf'ing.  I know I run the risk of it decreasing my supply which (while I would LOVE to wean now!) would kind of suck since my littlest is also fighting this cold and I don't want him to lose the nutrients that he IS getting from bm right now.  He would be even more irriratble than he already is if he wanted to nurse and there was barely anything there.

Has anyone tried anything else that has really worked?  I'm sure I will wind up with a sinus infection - happens every year at this time.  I just need to be able to breathe at the moment.  I've done the Vicks, tried the netipot (so stuffed that it just runs down the back of my throat instead of out the other nostril - totally TMI!!).  Not cutting it.

It always killed my supply but I did take it if I felt like I was risking a sinus infection.  First try saline nose spray, spicy food, steamy showers, hot tea with honey, and upping your fluids (like drink insane amounts of water).  If nothing else works and you end up taking a decongestant, drink tons and tons of water and eat oatmeal.
