2nd Trimester

New to 2nd Tri with a Few Qs...

Been looking forward to the Second Tri for, well, about 9 weeks now (at least since BFP).  From what I recall last time around, the Second Tri boards made the time fly by...I'm looking forward to the same this time (no pressure).  =)  I have a few questions:

1.)  When does the exhaustion begin to subside?  I recall it being around 18-19 weeks before but I could also just be imagining that.

2.)  Any runners here in the second tri?  Anyone suffering from sciatica and when did that kick in for you?  Anyone still running 30+ miles per week?

3.)  Any other 2+ moms find themselves counting down the days to milestones (like Second Tri, Third Tri, no more m/s, no more exhaustion, etc.)  I feel like I've become obsessed with it!

TIA.  Here's to a H&H Second and Third Tri!

  • Exhaustion for me hits whenever I am doing too much-  like last night I was in class until 10:30 and have been going crazy the past two days.

I haven't really been as obsessed this pregnancy, but I think with my DS running around I am just busy busy busy and don't have a lot of down time.  When I was pregnant with my son it was tax season for my husband so I spent a lot of time alone, obsessing.  This time I am running around so much I don't have too much time to think about it.

    Take care!

  • 1. 18ish weeks?

    2. I run, but I cut it back a lot, because it's what I am comfortable with, physically and mentally. I ran a Marathon back in May, and once that training was over with and before my BFP, I was running about 22-25 miles a week. Now I run about 15 miles per week, and definitely way slower than I did before I got pg.

    3. Eh some days.

  • 1-It comes and goes with me.

2-I cut my running from 30+ to 15-20 until last weekend.  Now it's none, I'm on bedrest (mostly, I'm allowed to walk to the bathroom at least.) I have my doubts that I'll be allowed to run again this pregnancy, but hopefully I'll at least be allowed to start walking again.

No sciatica for me, at least so far.

  • I was runner pre-pregnancy, and continued running almost everyday until about 15 weeks.  Now I mostly walk due to pressure on my bladder/just plain feeling weird.  I usually run a little every walk, but nothing significant.  I miss it.

  • 1) I started to get my energy back around 12-13 weeks, but I can feel it if I start to over-do it.

    2) Hahahahahahahaha

    3) I'm a first time mom, but I still countdown to these. Especially with my history of losses, I was counting down the seconds until 2nd Tri.
