okay, last year when it was just dd in school (one teacher and 2 grad assistants), we got the teacher a $25 gift card and the two grad assistants $15 gift cards and then each a little thing of chocolates.
this year ds is in school... between the two of them there are 2 teachers and 5 grad assistants.... do you think $10 gift cards for each grad assistant is okay? I'm thinking we'll make peppermint bark to send as well. the grad assistants are the teachers assistants all year. that or should I cut the teachers' gifts to $15 as well.
Re: teacher presents...
Seriously? I taught in 3 different schools, and I don't know anyone who ever threw away baked gifts that they received.
What a waste. I would just decline with a plausible excuse before I would take something and toss it.
I am knitting some fingerless gloves for DS teacher.

I think a $10 gc is great. I often do Starbucks cards for the teacher assistants.
I wouldn't do baked goods either. Teachers already get so much of that stuff.
