November "Meet the Midwives" Healtheast Event

I'd highly suggest going to this, even if you have already chosen your midwife. My last delivery at St. Joe's, we had 5 different midwives rotate in and out (my midwife was at a conference that weekend) during my 14 hour labor and I knew none of them. They were all wonderful, but it would've been nice to have met them before they were all up in my business.

I am totally naive but how many do you normally see and I am suppose to choose one? My hospital and OB are Healtheast.....

With Health East, you can see whoever you want for the duration of your pregnancy.  I saw a different midwife every appointment until I found one I LOVED and stuck with her for the rest of my pregnancy.

You will deliver with whoever is on-call, and the event the OP posted above is a great way to meet everyone.  We went to one of their first events, and overall it was great.  (there were a handful of people asking really STUPID questions in front of the whole group, which was annoying, but the midwives can't control that)
