First period PP

I have started cramping the past couple of days so I think I may start my first period pp soon.  Can I expect it to be really heavy?  TIA

Mine was extrememly heavy.  It lasted for about 8 days and was really heavy most of the time.

mine was one year post partum so I'm not sure if it made any difference but mine was so heavy I thought I was hemorrhaging  (I even went to the OB about it!).

Very heavy, I also thought I was hemorraghing.  And let me add that it was also painful and awful.  I hope you have better luck, but wanted to mention it so that at the very least you won't be caught off guard.

Mine reminded me of the pre-birth control pill periods I had in high school where I cramped so bad that I had to stay home from school...the flow wasn't too terribly heavy but the cramps were awful.

I guess I'm in the minority but mine was actually pretty light and I didn't have hardly any cramps and it only lasted about 4 days.  It was a huge improvement to my pre-preg periods. (I have endometriosis which means heavy periods and atrocious cramps when not on the aid of the pill)

Mine was fairly "normal" and it lasted the typical 5-6 days. I just remember being really upset because I never got much of a break between PP bleeding & the 1st period...and I EBF. Oh well!
